Righting the Wrongs ~ 3 : Cool Guy entry, snakewa angry!

(III)

The doorbell went off and HP ran to open the door. Stood by the entrance were Akash and Mama their office brief cases in hand their face marred with anxious frowns.

"How's Di?" Was Akash's first question while Manohar too nodded, urging HP to answer their question.

"Didi is sleeping in her room. Everyone are there with her in her room only." HP answered taking their office bags into his hand. Both the men rushed towards Anjali's room wanting to know the whole reason behind Anjali's state.

Even before HP could make a move, to keep those bags in the respective rooms, the doorbell went off again and this time it was NK before him who couldn't stand in a place his eyes already searching his surroundings as he came inside the house.

"Bhaiyya, everyone are in Didi's room." HP informed beforehand even before NK could question about Anjali. NK frowned at his words.

Di's room? What are everyone doing in Di's room? Oh no, did she again throw a fit like last time, as Akash said, to talk to her Chotte?

"Where is Khushi-ji?" He asked HP the question that has been eating his brain finally out of his mouth.

"Arnav Bhaiyya and Khushi Bhabi are upstairs too," HP informed and went away not noticing the widened eyes of NK.

Nannav is back? Khushi-ji brought him back! His smile grew wider. But wait, why didn't she call him to give him the news? She should have at least given me an inkle of information about Nannav being back home.

With a pout face he made his way upstairs to Arnav and Khushi's room all questions on why is everyone in Di's room vanished from his mind. His only thought was to demand Khushi-ji on why didn't she inform him about Nanna's return?

In his sulk he didn't even notice the crowded room of Anjali and passed further to his Nannav and Khushi-ji's room. As the family were worrying over Anjali everyone failed to notice NK passing the room.

Reaching their room, as a common notion, he pushed through the door, not even bothering to notice if the door is latched inside or not, knocking himself into it and almost breaking his nose in the process.

'Ouch' he winced his hands covering his nose that's causing him pain, the whole place swirling for a second due to the unexpected hit. What the hell? He thought now knocking the door coming into his senses.

{~•~}

"Hiss!" He tried but couldn't bit back the pain when she started dabbing at the wound on his forehead. He don't want to scare her more or let the trance of her broken due to his cry of pain.

Of course the wounds hurt. Why wouldn't they? They aren't the normal accidental wounds but some real ones and as everyone know, they're hurting like a bi*ch. But he stayed stubborn and let himself enjoy his wife's care rather than the pain he's feeling.

Not able to reach his forehead sitting beside him, she stood up and now is cleaning the wound hissing herself with each dab. She can only wonder why he isn't feeling any pain. If it was her, she would have thrown a fit by now. She almost smiled to herself.

Having her so no near to him, his eyes at her neck level and his lips almost able to kiss them, his fantasies knew no end. Oh, how much he feel like to hug her tight to himself? Smelling in her usual jasmine smell...yes, he know...would be divine, wouldn't it be?

He sighed at his own fantasies. Yes fantasies. Aren't they called so for a reason? Fantasies are never meant to become real right? Oh but he's ASR, of course his fantasies can become real. He will make them real.

How he can be this sappy and shit, while they are in a dire situation or rather have escaped a dire situation a few hours back, he don't know. Anything and everything is possible with ASR. Even love isn't an exception. Love. He felt strange letting his tongue roll around the word.

But when her smell empowered his senses, he lost it. A small whiff and his all sane thoughts flew out of his mind. Slowly but discreetly, as if in a trance, his hands started raising to her waist level ready to pull her flush into him. Blood, wounds, bruises and pain everything took a back seat. His only aim to have her close to him. So close even an inkling of air wouldn't be able to enter between them.

But the trance broke as soon as they heard the noise at the door. First it was the sound as if someone just pounded on it. And then a meek mumble like a hiss and then there was that again. This time it’s knock.

Can’t someone let him live in peace? Arnav’s face twitched with irritation as he pulled Khushi to sit on the bed and he went to open the door already planning on killing the person who dared to disturb him when he and wife are enjoying their alone time. Er…maybe only him? Tsk! But all are same.

Unlocking the latch and opening the door roughly Arnav’s anger could only bubble up when NK’s hand knocked on his nose, he who stood not even noticing that the door is opened.

“NK,” Arnav all but growled at him. All his pent up frustration of being disturbed while having his time with his Khushi showing up on his face that looked rigid. But NK cared less about that.

“Nannav mere bhai,” he hollered giving Arnav a tight hug almost squishing him in the process. NK with all smiles, and genuinely happy, patted Arnav’s back a couple times and moved away baring his pearly white teeth in a broad smile.

"Are Nanhe-ji," Khushi's almost cheery voice reached his ears making him groan. She's all happy seeing him and was keeping a sad face with me! Arnav can only sulk.

If he don't know any better he would have thought she's really happy to see NK, but still there is some underlying sadness in her voice which Arnav could sense. But for now he thought to let it pass. He still don't know he's awaiting a shock from NK.

"Aap Khushi-ji, Nannav aane ki Khushi mein mujhe baal gaye." NK pouted at her.

"Baal matlab hair NK its bhool, bhool means forget," Arnav corrected his face twitching with an irritated frown.

"Yeah wohi, wohi. I’m sorry." NK pulled his ear with a cheeky smile making Arnav roll his eyes.

"Aisa kuch nehi hain Nanhe-ji, wo..."

"Khushi go and freshen up! We have to go to Di now." Arnav butted in, his possessive instincts kicking in. His brain always gives him a red big danger sign across NK's face in Khushi’s case.

"Ji," she went away taking her clothes out of the closet and moving into the bathroom. Arnav sighed and was going to close the door along with a curt 'bye' but was pushed back by NK who barged into the room then closing the door latched it from inside hurriedly.

"What the..." the word left Arnav's mouth who stood there shocked for a moment before yelling at NK "The hell NK, what are you doing? We have to go to Di and I still have to get ready. Go to your room." Arnav all but screamed at a nonchalant NK before him.

"Later," saying NK pulled Arnav to the poolside who is seething in rage by now. But NK wasn't completed.

"Wait a min," saying NK pulled out his IPhone scrolling through something not even giving a heed to the fuming ASR before him. "See this."

Arnav was going to open his mouth probably to lash out at NK while NK just gestured with his eyes towards the cell phone in his hand. Frowning, Arnav looked at it and his widened seeing it.

What the actual heck!?!

{~•~}

Listening to the other side he grit his teeth in annoyance and unadulterated fury.

Dammit, he refrained himself from punching something. Throwing his mobile phone to crash down into pieces he stood there fuming seeing the broken mobile.

Nothing...and I mean nothing is going according to his plan. First Arnav is back with that intelligent-behind-the-innocent-face lady, he lost her to the same person, Arnav...again. What if there not installed cameras by him at home?

He shivered in a slight fear at that thought. Never would have he found out his Khushi-ji and NK's plan, scheming behind his back. He would have been easily found guilty with those evidences. Oh he know how to act alright. After all, that's what he's been doing since the time he has come into this family.

His hand automatically went to his neck, where there now is hanging his fake pendent. He could only praise himself for installing a security face recognition application in his laptop through which he has come to know about NK finding out about the hidden pen drive and then through the cameras in his room of his Khushi-ji's khand of stealing it so very nicely from him.

Arey, agar aap sochte hain ki aap gyani hain, hum toh aap se bhi badi hoshiar hain Khushi-ji. He smiled baring his white teeth in an ugly sneer. No one will never know where the pen drive went. Well, except for me.

Words can never define the glee as well as anger he is feeling right now towards his Saale Sahib and Khushi-ji.

You all will pay for this.

Righting the Wrongs ~ 2 : Family pain, petty relief!

© Lucky

(II)

All stood behind the door worrying. Nani was being consoled by Payal and Maami who are crying themselves while Shyam stood behind them, in a corner, exasperated with their family drama. Khushi and Arnav stood beside each other as a gesture of silent support.

Doctor has been called immediately by HP, as per Arnav's order, and he's currently inside checking on Anjali. If Anjali's frailness is something that everyone worried about, now her being pregnant on that is like adding fuel to the already lit fire.

As they waited, doctor came outside and everyone rushed to him eager for the news. Shyam stayed still in his place knowing no one will bother about him when their bitiya is in this situation. To say, he's already getting tired of acting their ideal and perfect damaad.

"Doctor, Di kaisi hain?" Arnav was the first one to break the silence while the doctor looked around at the people present, their eyes asking him the same question. He sighed.

"She's under pressure. Lately she have been taking less and less food I believe?" He ran his questioning gaze around the family and found no answer. "Well, she's weak. And today as I see she have received a shock seeing her husband as well as Mr. Raizada like this. She couldn't take it upon her weak state and I am afraid the baby is in danger too." He lowered his voice lacing it with disappointment.

He have known Raizada's for some time now and is their family doctor. And he is well aware of Anjali's health condition too. Seeing her like this is only saying so much of how less care she's been taking about herself.

Everybody gasped hearing his words. Baby...their Anjali's baby is in danger? They could only pray for it to not happen like they are thinking it is.

"Baby...how's the baby?" Arnav is once again the one breaking the silence and voicing out everyone's question. He may not like the slime ball with whom his Di is sharing the baby, but still it will be his Di's baby in the end. And he want nothing to go wrong with his Di's baby.

"For now, Mr. Raizada, the baby is fine. But she should be taken care of really well. Anjali is weak, like she's normally too. Now when she's carrying she should be handled with care and protection. Last time I checked Anjali confided in me saying she's been missing you Mr. Raizada and was really worried, the last I recalled, about you." He said pointedly staring at Arnav.

"Try to be by her side. I believe your presence, for now after she will be up, will soothe her. And please do NOT stress her out. She's not in a state to take it up, yet. For now she's under sedative. She'll be up after a hour." doctor said and started to take his leave handing Arnav a prescription of tablets he explained to be given to Anjali and the instructions as to when and which.

"Mr. Raizada, your wounds...?" Doctor stopped and asked apprehensively already knowing Arnav isn't always willing for a medical treatment. Not so many times, but he experienced Arnav's rejection for medical treatment.

"I'll be fine doctor. For now it's just Di. But..." he stopped turning around to Khushi silently asking her if she needs doctor. Upon her shake of head, he nodded. At least this is done according to her.

"HP, see the doctor to the door," Arnav ordered while HP nodded taking doctor's suit case into his hands and moving down the stairs. Everyone kept silent as they saw the retreating back of the doctor their mind full of questions.

Arnav could only imagine how his home had been without him. And he didn't know whom he's to blame. Himself or his family members? He looked behind everyone at Shyam who stood far away with no concern in the world. Immediately Arnav wanted to throw punch after punch on his vile face for hurting his Di and Khushi.

"Ee hamara ghar mein kaa howath hain bitwa?" Nani cried falling down who was caught by Maami and Payal with a cry of surprise. Arnav looked at his Nani his own eyes turning moist and red. "Pehle damaad-ji, phir tum aur Khushi bitiya ab Anjali bitiya. Ee sab kaa hain?" Nani sobbed along with Payal and Maami who had no answers for her questions.

Khushi looked troubled while her tears flowed down in a straight fall and she didn't even bother wiping them. She wanted to say, tell them everything. Seeing Anjali and Nani like this is only making her more and more angry on the sorry excuse of a man standing somewhere behind not even bothered a bit about happenings. Her determination grew fierce and she looked beside her at her Arnav-ji wanting his support in this. But what she saw made her determination blow away in thin air and her fierceness came down, like someone spilled water on fire.

"Arnav-ji," she whispered her voice, meek, a showcase of the fear she's feeling. He didn't take his eyes off of her at all looking at her with his eagle eyes.

"Nani, we'll be back in a moment. We have to change into something comfortable." He told Nani not even bothering a glance in her way his sole focus on Khushi. He felt it a need for some distraction, something to keep him from punching Shyam black and blue. He is desperately in need of cooling his mind. But alas! Even in this he's scaring Khushi.

Nani just nodded her head while Maami can only stare at both of them. She forgot all about the kidnap fuss when she saw Shyam before her eyes her curiosity and doubts increasing more and more. And then after Arnav and Khushi are back, it has all been about Anjali. But now when she again focused on them, all the events came back to her in a rush.

She remembered how Arnav strode inside the house his hand tightly clasped in hers. So does that mean Arnav bitwa still doesn't know all about phatisaadi and damaad-ji? Kuch toh kareki padegi, hello hi bye bye!

She saw Arnav and Khushi go back to their room at the far end corner of the floor. Hands clasped, she noticed. Deciding to do something later, she started to console her Saasuma before her.

{~•~}

Arnav marched into his room his hand squeezing Khushi’s tightly making her wince. Only after hearing her hiss did he loosen his hold on her hand his thoughts too wayward to think about giving her pain...again.

Once in their room he left her at the entrance closing their door and locking it. Not even giving her a glance he went out of the room, to the poolside, solely focusing on reducing his anger.

Di....think about Di! He told himself, but again that slime's face is before him. He's the reason for his Di's condition this day.

Khushi, he turned around at the thought of her name. She stood at the same place he left her, near the door. Her eyes troubled and confused seeing him. He smiled sadly to himself.

What has she not done for me? To me? Yet I couldn't even earn her trust. She still believes I'm angry on her, isn't it? Wasn't I the reason if she fears me? Am I not the reason she has suffered every pain from the time I entered her life?

His guilt and remorse was enough to dab down his increasing anger as he stepped into his room gulping down at the fear in her eyes. He felt like hurting himself seeing her like this, afraid of him.

"Kh…Khushi," he whispered cupping her cheek with his hand. He didn't miss her flinch nor did he miss how she snuggled her face into his hand. His heart fluttered at that gesture and he felt a fleeting of smile cross his face. HIS Khushi.

"Freshen up," he whispered, his thumb running over her cheeks, his chocolate brown eyes gazing straight into her now glassy hazel ones. He sensed the apprehension in her eyes and silently assured her to say it. The guilt of seeing her fearing him took a back seat right now, his all concentration only on her face.

"Wo...your wounds," she pointed out, as she lightly absentmindedly ran a finger on a bruise on his shoulder. He flinched at the sudden pain and even before he could comprehend, he was being dragged by her.

Making him sit on his...their...bed, she went running into the bathroom and brought out the first aid kid. Sitting down beside him, comfortably, she started dabbing his wounds with savlon dipped wet cotton taking utmost care to not make him feel the pain. But that was impossible with the amount of wounds and seeing that she is cleaning them with wet cloth.

He looked at her, as if remembering her everything, imprinting her every self into his brain. He realized in a daze everything she’s doing, her dampening the cotton and kept cleaning every of his wounds. He basked in the glory of his wife's pampering. For now!
